Rhombic Staircase Gun Arrangements

by GraphicUserInterface · September 1, 2026

Rhombic Staircase is a efficient way to arrange guns that most of my robots are using. It can vary in slope and aspect ratio to adapt to the chassis. I propose a method to desccribe that. The template is *RSxxy-zz*. - 'RS' is the acronym of 'rhombic staircase'. - 'xx' is the interval width of guns in a same row. - 'y' is the vertical offset between rows. - 'zz' is gun counts (not necessary). Note that the measure of '7' in RS71 does not cross the axis of symmetry. For example, such is RS101. ![](https://robocraftgarage.shaf.fun/api/robot-images/robots%2Fbffc5a61-d4fd-4f97-bf61-245f448d6181%2Fqq20260902-070732.png-fb6f3327-dc47-4b94-b90e-ed7372afd83a) ![](https://robocraftgarage.shaf.fun/api/robot-images/robots%2Fbffc5a61-d4fd-4f97-bf61-245f448d6181%2Fqq20260902-071258.png-887e9fec-be6c-477b-aca3-96f05f173832)
